Objective: Full body explosive power. Technique: Start with a semi-squatting position with the feet parallel and shoulder width apart. Start with hands gripping the barbell just outside shoulder width. Accelerate upwards through a combined leg and hip drive, assisted by explosively pulling the bar upwards with the arms. The trap muscles are shrugged during the final portion of the lift to continue accelerating the bar upwards. Drop in under the bar and catch it on your deltoids and clavicles supported by your hands, elbows facing forwards, ending standing in an upright position. Dip down slightly and explosively extend the arms above the head, end with the barbell directly above your head with arms full extended.
