Medicine Ball/Plate Overhead Lunge

Objective: Lower body strength and power emphasis. Technique: In a standing position hold a weighted plate or medicine ball fully extended above your head. While keeping the arms fully extended at all times, step forward with either leg dropping down onto the leading leg until your front thigh is parallel to the floor. Step back up to your starting position and repeat with same or alternate leg. Perform walking and reverse lunges with arms in same position for variations.
