GRID PASSING

rugbyiqAug 07, 2015 07:54 AM

Three groups line up in a grid 7m x 7m. Group one on the right hand side starts the drill by running and feeding a pass into the middle to a player running onto the ball from the middle group in the opposite direction. After the first player has passed he must fall in behind the middle group. The middle player must run and pass the ball to the player on the far side of the grid running in the opposite direction and then fall in behind that group. The third player then runs and passes into the middle group again before falling in behind the middle group. The middle player then passes back to the first group of players. The drill continues until no one is left on the right hand side. The coach then instructs the players to “reset” and start the drill again.
