Dumbell Lunge

Objective: Lower body strength and power emphasis. Technique: In standing position hold dumbbells in hands, arms next to your sides. Step forward with either leg dropping down onto the leading leg until your front thigh is parallel to the floor. Step back up to your starting position and repeat with same or alternate leg. Variations include stepping back and down for a reverse lunge and performing a walking lunge with a plate twist to the side of the leading leg.
