Objective: To build explosive power in your hips and legs. Technique: Stand in front of a bench or jumping box upright in a good postural position with your feet slightly wider than your hips your hands next to your sides. Initiate the movement with your hips squatting back and down until the tops of your thighs are parallel to the floor. Jump up onto the bench/box, exploding out of your hips, buttocks and thighs as high as possible. land softly, catching yourself with bent legs. Step off the bench/box backwards and repeat.
